December 12, 2007 — Santa Clara
On December 12th, Dr. Leonard Liu, CEO & Chairman of Augmentum, will be honored with the AAMA Impact Award. Since its inception, the AAMA has stood for innovation and blazing new trails. One of the greatest legacies of the AAMA has been its ability to provide a collaborative environment for the open sharing of knowledge and networks to foster broad innovation. In recognition, the AAMA Impact Award will be awarded to an individual who has taken steps to stretch convention, identify and execute on untapped opportunities, and has established a leadership role in his or her community.
AAMA Connect has been facilitating meetings between thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and high-level executives, laying the groundwork for many multimillion-dollar deals every year. The theme for AAMA Connect 2007 is: Technology's Middle Kingdom - China's Rising Influence in Asia and the West. Leonard Liu will keynote the gala at 8:00pm, and Wayne Hom will be speaking at Panel Session B3: Outsourcing: An Evolving Market at 1:00pm.
November 23-25, 2007 — Beijing
User Friendly 2007 will take place from Nov. 23rd to Nov. 25th in Beijing, bringing together 700+ usability practitioners, designers and technologists from across China and internationally. The theme for 2007 is Connecting User Experience Communities. Jon Innes, Director, User Experience Practice at Augmentum, will present on "Making User Experience Part of Your Brand" on November 24th. On November 25th, Jon will be running a workshop focusing on "Re-Positioning User Experience as a Strategic Process".
October 3, 2007 — Beaverton
Augmentum, a leading provider of offshore outsourcing for software product and IT application development, announced today that company's User Experience expert Jon Innes will speak with Liam Friedland, UX director of Informatica, at the CHIFOO Program Series on October 3rd. As a local chapter of ACM SIGCHI, the Computer-Human Interaction Forum of Oregon (CHIFOO) brings people working on the design, implementation, and study of interactive computing systems for human use together to exchange ideas about human-computer interaction. Jon Innes will describe proven tactics for repositioning UX as a strategic process within a company.

Frank Yu, President and COO of Augmentum, to speak on IT Services panel at Piper Jaffray's Fourth Annual China Growth Conference in Beijing, China, on March 6th 1:30-2:30pm, at the Ritz-Carlton.
